Support Bikers Needed~!

Our friends and the Kenai River Marathon need a little help by way of support bikers to ride with both the lead racer and a course sweeper. We are looking for about 5 volunteers! Saturday, September 28th at 6 p.m. there will be a Volunteer Organizational meeting at the Kenai Visitor’s Center preceding the spaghetti feed. For more info email Tracy@KPCSC.org

 

Cycle Series Underway

Our inaugural season of mountain bike races and trail orientation at the Tsalteshi Trail system has been a HUGE success!!! If you haven’t heard all ready, come on down to Skyview High School next Thursday night. There are two more races before PsychoCross (August 31st).  Registration starts @5:30, race is @ 6! Bring a helmet and a friend! Fun is GUARANTEED!

Summer 2013

We’re getting geared up for another fun summer of bike riding!

Starting Thursday,  July 11th the Summer Bike Mountain Bike Series will begin!

There will be fun, points to be earned, and a winner to be chosen!

Come familiarize yourself with the Tsalteshi Trails and meet some other enthusiastic riders, just like yourself.

Bike Swap and KPCSC Membership Meeting

OCTOBER 30-2012 AT 18:00 TO 20:30 at Kenai River Center

(Across from Soldotna Airport on Funny River road)

Come and join us on the evening of October 30th for a full-packed program: BIKE SWAP,

free-food, door prizes, sign up for bike and ski classes, equipment demos, ski flexing and an exciting educational program.

All BIKERS AND SKI ENTHUSIAST ARE WELCOME, YOUNG AND OLD!

18:00 to 18:45             Parking lot BIKE SWAP MEET.  Please make sure to have equipment in place and prized by 6pm.

Equipment may be placed on the table inside. KPCSC is not responsible for your equipment or any sales. 

We encouarge a donation to the club in the amout of 5-10% of the sales price which is tax deductible.

18:45 to 19:15             While enjoying Free Pizza and Root Beer from St. Elias, visit 5 different booths:

Wildernes Way Ski flexing and fitting (Bring clean skies), Beemuns Bike Loft Demos, Membership Signup and

signup for ski and bike classes, Ski and Bike Clothing order table  and the Bike Swap Equipment table.

Homer Road Bike Ride Sunday, May 6th, 2012

Meet at 07:00 at Frontier Therapy in Soldotna, you may park your car here for the day, but the car must be removed by Monday 06:00 am.

Across from the Soldotna Library on Binkley.  108 East Corral.

The ride is a non-sponsored event.

The ride will take about 5-7 hours, this is why we are aiming at an early start.  I will have a bike pump to check air pressure before we take off.

We might have a few extra seat for the ride home, unless you are planning on riding back home again.

Also, we still need a few volunteers to assist during the Soldotna Bike and Safety Awareness Ride May 12th.
